New Varieties Released, Giveaways and Auctions, Stubbs, Architect, God Seed, Knotwork
Sorry for the late notice. I have the attention and memory of a gnat. I just released some new varieties that have been under propagation. Those are on auction ending tonight. I have two epic giveaways going of 45 seedlings each also ending tonight.
The new varieties are Stubbs, Architect and God Seed. In the interest of getting this out asap, use the links to go to the info page for each variety. I have sold one cutting of Knotwork this year as I recall. I have two more on Auction right now. The auctions are on reddit r/sanpedrocactusforsale group. specific links to auctions below. If that doesn’t work, search for r/teamwachuma and look at my posts.
God Seed bursting at the seams.
Architect. Not the fattest, but the flattest. It rivals gordita in blockiness, but prettier.
I’m excited to get these out into the world. I don’t name things and propagate them willy nilly and these stand out in some way from the crowd.
The giveaways end sometime tonight or maybe even tomorrow morning. One is on instagram user @teamwachuma The other one is on the trichocereus community facebook page, which is the largest trichocereus group anywhere I think. You probably need to join the group. Rules are simple, just be following my instagram @teamwachuma or facebook team wachuma accounts respectively and leave one comment. It is okay to enter both. Winners will be selected by random number generator. The giveaways are each for all 48 seedlings. that represents most of what I have in stock right now.
But wait, there’s more! I just also listed some new cuts and new 2 year old mutant seedlings.
I think I listed 8 or more mutoid seedlings. Some are sold already.
Cuts are in two categories: Team Wachuma clones, verity, king tubby, espiritu cabra etc… and other cuts and clones.
I found a piece of land that I really wanted, but could not get enough down payment together to get it due to some messed up factors related to unconsitutional federal laws in my view. I could not use some of the sources I planned to use like personal loans and crowdfunding. So I’m back to saving and watching the real estate market. This cactus campaign is part of a push to grow my stacks for a downpayment or purchase. I would guess I have about 5 to 8 more years to get most of what I want to do done with cactus. That will include a genetic base for further breeding that others can take up. New varieties for production models, stuff related to healthy and efficient growing systems like covercrops/smothercrops/perennial groundcovers, cloning methods for rapid expansion of varieties & culture of the plant and some hand tools and methods for processing. Also some other random projects like rooting and cut treatments. I have already made a lot of progress on some of these things. I consider this work urgent as it mostly has to do with fostering alternatives to the black market poaching and devastation of cactus in the motherland. At this point, the main thing missing is land. I can work on stuff unrelated to that in the meantime. Once I hit a point that I feel other people can take over the same lines of research/development and implementation of that stuff, I will likely farm out cactus stuff to friend or family member or something like that or just do something else. The plan for the next year is to cut expenses and bank as much as I can to get land. Tell a friend about Team Wachuma. Word of mouth is still my main avenue of growth.
