Flash Sale on Cactus Seedlings, 2 Bucks, 2 Days

I am trying to raise funds and promote my site, so I dropped seedling prices for a weekend sale. Two dollars for two days. A few are even cheaper, like misc lost tag seedlings and the Ross Gurau, open pollinated. Mutoids are the usual price, but I think they are sold out for right now. I was all about buying a particualar property here in Northern California last week, but I don’t have enough available cash to make a big enough down payment to keep the principal and interest down. So for now it is back to saving and searching. I thought a sale could move out some cactus to start making room for the next batch and maybe reach some new potential customers. I need to find a place to move to in order to do some of the cactus related research and development I would like to do. I need the land and probably about 5 to 8 years to do the work with wachuma that I want to do. I’m nearly 60, so it better happen pretty soon. I will talk more about what my goals and motivation are in the future.

In the meantime, I need to grow the Team Wachuma audience/customer base. There are still a lot of people in the cactus community who don’t know about me at all or have not visited the site. Growing cactus related income is a part of my long term plan. It is more than anything a way to pay for land and afford to do the research and development stuff. It is something of a self hobbling business model since the primary directives are around proliferation, conservation and accessibility which are all at odds with maximizing profit and keeping methods and developments secret so that people don’t copy them. I always see my job as research related first, like a university doing agricultural research, then handing it over to farmers to use. Will it work? There is no saying. If I didn’t think it probably would, then I wouldn’t be pursuing it. Hopefully we’ll find out. I’ll just keep saving funds and doing what I can here for now.
